We are looking for a dedicated Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the real estate and property industry. As a long-term contract role, this position is ideal for professionals seeking to expand their expertise in commercial real estate law while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team.
Job Responsibility:
Support attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions
conduct thorough discovery and trial preparation for civil litigation cases
assist in case management by organizing files and maintaining accurate documentation using case management software
facilitate leasing and financing agreements, ensuring compliance with real estate laws and regulations
perform detailed research on real estate laws, zoning regulations, and property records
collaborate with clients and team members to ensure smooth communication and project completion
provide bilingual support in Spanish or Chinese, if applicable, to enhance client interactions
utilize knowledge of accounting principles to assist in financial aspects of real estate transactions
maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and legal requirements in commercial real estate
contribute to the team’s growth and success through proactive learning and development.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in commercial real estate
proficiency in civil litigation processes, including discovery and trial preparation
familiarity with case management software and organizational tools
strong understanding of leasing, financing, and other aspects of commercial real estate
bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Chinese is preferred but not required
exposure to accounting principles is considered a plus
ability to work independently as a self-starter while thriving in a team-oriented environment
excellent communication skills and attention to detail in handling legal documents and processes.
