Our client a regional law firm is currently seeking a skilled Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. This position is ideal for candidates with 2–5 years of experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong background in handling commercial real estate transactions. The role will involve working closely with attorneys to support various aspects of real estate practice, including acquisitions, leasing, financing, and closings.
Job Responsibility:
Assist attorneys in managing commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing
Prepare and review loan documents, such as promissory notes, mortgages, and closing checklists
Analyze and summarize title commitments, policies, and endorsements to ensure accuracy
Collaborate with surveyors to review property surveys and resolve title or survey issues
Coordinate with title companies, lenders, borrowers, and opposing counsel to ensure smooth transaction closings
Draft and organize closing binders, ensuring proper execution and recording of legal documents
Conduct due diligence tasks, including reviewing entity formation documents, zoning regulations, and lien searches
Maintain organized transaction files while managing multiple deals simultaneously
Provide timely updates and communication to attorneys and clients throughout the transaction process
Requirements:
2–5 years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal
Proficiency in handling loan documentation and commercial financing transactions
Strong knowledge of title commitments, surveys, and related resolution processes
Familiarity with closing procedures and real estate due diligence
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
familiarity with real estate or document management software is advantageous
