In this role, you will be responsible for fault-finding, rectification, and testing of plumbing and heating systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. You will also carry out small installations and project works, contributing to the improvement and enhancement of our facilities. Your expertise will extend to inspecting and testing mechanical systems, including Temperature Control Valves (TMVs) and legionella compliance, ensuring all systems meet regulatory standards. As part of the maintenance team, you will participate in the reactive call-out rota and assist with general maintenance tasks as needed. Keeping accurate records of completed works is crucial, and you will liaise effectively with fellow maintenance staff and management to ensure seamless operations. You will also manage and support contractors while adhering to the Club’s security, stock control, and key holder procedures. A strong understanding of our Health & Safety Policy is essential, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills. Your proactive approach to tasks, commitment to exceptional customer service, and logical thinking during fault-finding situations will be key to ensuring the safeguarding of Academy players, young fans, and vulnerable adults in our care.

Requirements:
NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds certification
Gas Safe registered or actively working towards registration
Proven experience in domestic and commercial settings
Experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems, boilers, and plumbing fixtures
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong communication skills
Enhanced DBS from Sunderland AFC
Nice to have:
Qualifications in renewable energy systems (solar thermal or heat pumps)
