Job Description

The Partnership’s Team five year plan is to continue to accelerate our growth curve and get that number well north of 70% while having an impact in every stage of the merchant lifecycle. To help drive this five year mission we’re looking for an experienced and motivated leader to join our EMEA Commercial Partnerships team. This is a critical role in realizing our mission, where you will be instrumental in iterating our culture and building an amazing team environment that creates future leaders for Adyen. You will mentor, coach and maintain a high performance bar for a team of commercial partner managers who are responsible for establishing strategic relationships with GSIs, SIs (System Integrators), Payments Consultants and Private Equity firms to drive significant channel revenue and accelerate the onboarding of new clients.

Job Responsibility

  • Define the mid-to-long (1-3+ year) strategy for EMEA Alliances that supports Adyen’s business objectives and aligns with our global Partnerships org
  • Prioritize EMEA strategy and individually help deliver on the highest impact opportunities to deliver on commercial goals
  • Apply your broad expertise in partnerships enabling the broader team to make business decisions that support the wider global alliances team
  • Serve as a senior executive stakeholder, providing strategic and consultative advice to influence the payments strategy of our partners
  • Work closely with Marketing, Pillar, Product and Sales teams to ensure effective collaboration
  • Lead a high performing team of 4-8 people, providing guidance, motivation, constructive feedback & coaching, and constantly striving to raise the bar
  • Create an inspiring and collaborative team environment with an open communication / feedback culture
  • Set clear individual and team goals focused on revenue growth
  • Report on performance and metrics at an executive level
  • Retain talent and recruit new team members in line with the Adyen Formula

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years experience in managing teams and building executive level enterprise relationships
  • 8+ years experience as an alliances professional who deeply understands how GSIs and consultancies win and deliver large-scale transformation services
  • An energetic self-starter with proven commercial edge, a track record of delivering results and the ability to build long term relationships
  • Comfortable and excited by being responsible for commercial goals and creating a measurable impact for the business
  • Can balance strategic thinking with focused execution
  • Comfortable owning messages from senior leadership and fostering an environment of accountability & ownership
