A prestigious international group specializing in the distribution of plastic raw materials (polymers), headquartered in Italy is seeking a dynamic, high-potential sales professional to provide direct support to the Managing Director and act as the local operational and commercial point of contact.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate the daily activities and administrative workflows of the Athens office to ensure smooth, uninterrupted business continuity
Lead commercial negotiations regarding product pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to close profitable deals
Drive commercial development in the Greek market by identifying new business opportunities
Act as the primary gatekeeper and proxy for the Managing Director during their absence, managing urgent operational issues and priorities
Prepare detailed operational reports, KPIs, and market updates for the Italian headquarters
Organize, attend, and follow up on strategic meetings, ensuring all actionable items are executed by the local team
Requirements
High sense of responsibility, accountability, and operational autonomy
Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and proactive problem-solving abilities
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a natural commercial/business mindset
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-border corporate culture
A University degree (BSc/MSc) in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
2–5 years of professional experience in B2B sales, account management, sales support, or commercial operations
Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, chemicals, or the plastics/polymers sector is highly advantageous but not mandatory
Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required
Working knowledge or fluency in Italian is a strong asset (or a proven willingness to learn the language)
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
Solid understanding of basic commercial financial metrics
Nice to have
