Job Description:

Lawes Consulting Group is working with a forward-thinking insurer to find a dynamic P&C Commercial Underwriter to join their Glasgow team. This is a great chance to drive growth and shape how new business is written in the mid-market space. If you’re confident with brokers and commercially switched on, this one’s for you.

Job Responsibility:

Underwrite profitable new business across Property & Casualty lines
Build strong, lasting broker relationships to drive success
Make confident, data-informed decisions at pace
Actively contribute to team performance and market visibility
Deliver against growth and service targets

Requirements:

Solid P&C underwriting background-insurer or broker side
Comfortable with SME/mid-market risks
Experienced in writing and negotiating new business
Proven ability to work to targets in a trading role
Strong technical knowledge of property and casualty products
Confident communicator and natural relationship builder
Commercially sharp with a focus on results
Skilled at using data to back decisions
Working toward or holding ACII is a bonus
