Job Description

You’ll be right at the heart of Vodafone Business UK, helping shape, protect, and grow some of our most important customer relationships. As a Commercial Manager in our Commercial Contract Management (CCM) team, you’ll manage the full commercial lifecycle of complex customer contracts—working closely with colleagues across the business and directly with customers to create sustainable value for everyone involved. You’ll be trusted to bring commercial insight, clarity, and confidence to every stage of the journey, from winning new business to ensuring long-term contract success.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with Sales during pre‑sales to commercially qualify opportunities and shape winning strategies that balance customer value with strong margins
  • Build and validate pricing and deal structures using benchmarking, market insight, and competitive analysis
  • Lead and support commercial negotiations with customers and suppliers to help close deals efficiently and compliantly
  • Secure the right governance approvals and ensure deals are structured for long‑term success
  • Ensure agreed commercial terms, risks, and obligations are clearly captured in contracts and handed over smoothly to delivery teams
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks, making sure mitigation plans are understood and followed through in‑life
  • Provide commercial thought leadership across Sales, Legal, Finance, Product, Solutions, Technology, and external partners
  • Support margin protection, revenue optimisation, and dispute resolution for in‑life contracts when needed

Requirements

  • An experienced commercial or contract management professional with around 8+ years’ experience
  • Someone confident navigating complex commercial and contractual models
  • A pragmatic negotiator who can influence and build trust at all levels, internally and externally
  • Strong at assessing commercial risk and putting effective mitigations in place through contracts or delivery models
  • Skilled in shaping compelling commercial proposals that reflect customer needs, market realities, and value creation
  • Comfortable using data, assumptions, and judgement to make sound commercial decisions
  • An excellent communicator who can simplify complexity in writing and conversation
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and mentoring others
  • Curious, growth‑minded, and motivated to continuously improve how things are done

Nice to have

  • Telco or IT experience is a plus, but not essential
  • World Commerce & Contract Management (WCC / formerly IACCM) accreditation is desirable

What we offer

  • Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
  • Great pay, bonuses, up to 28 days off plus bank holidays, and paid time for charity work
  • Discounts, vouchers, a pension plan and loads more
  • Amazing learning tools and top-notch parental leave policies
