Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead post-award commercial activities across a portfolio of major construction and aviation projects. This role is central to ensuring contractual compliance, managing variations, resolving disputes, and protecting commercial outcomes for the business.

Job Responsibility

  • Contract administration — Oversee post-award obligations, performance tracking, and commercial governance
  • Claims & variations — Prepare, assess, negotiate, and close out complex claims
  • Dispute resolution — Lead commercial negotiations and support legal processes where required
  • Stakeholder management — Work closely with project, legal, finance, and operational teams
  • Risk management — Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial management within construction, aviation, infrastructure, or major projects
  • Strong understanding of Australian contract frameworks (e.g., AS, GC21, bespoke forms)
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver under time pressure
  • Only candidates with the right to work in Australia will be considered (Australia Citizen, PR Holder, or Valid Australia working VISA)
