The Commercial Manager is responsible for the full commercial leadership of multiple social housing repairs and maintenance contracts across a defined region. The role oversees a diverse range of workstreams, ensuring strong financial control, commercial governance, contract compliance, and value for money, while supporting operational teams to deliver high-quality, resident-focused services. Working closely with the Director of Operations, the role provides strategic commercial support to drive performance, manage risk, and enable sustainable growth across the region.
Job Responsibility:
Provide end-to-end commercial leadership across multiple contracts and workstreams within the region
Act as the senior commercial point of contact for regional operational teams and clients
Support the Director of Operations with commercial insight, reporting, and strategic decision-making
Ensure consistent commercial standards, controls, and best practice across all regional contracts
Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, and cost value reconciliation (CVR) processes
Monitor and report financial performance across all contracts, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities
Ensure margins are protected and improved while maintaining service quality and contractual compliance
Ensure WIP, Debt and Capital Employed is operating within business targets
Implement corrective commercial actions where performance deviates from targets
Ensure we claim all our commercial entitlement across all commercial models i.e SOR, PPP, PPV etc
