We are seeking an experienced and effective Commercial Manager to join our Energy team on the Scottish Power Framework, supporting delivery of the CMN3 project. This major scheme covers 97km of new overhead line and substation works from Galashiels to the England–Scotland border, including a cross‑border connection, and forms part of a wider programme of exciting infrastructure upgrades. Job Responsibility:
Lead the project's commercial function
Manage, develop, and mentor the project team
Lead the contract management process with the client
Oversee large and multiple subcontractor packages
Manage the design subcontractor
Prepare CVRs and complete all standard monthly commercial reporting
Function as the primary point of contact for the client
Support project delivery with some on-site working/travel as required
Requirements:
NEC4 experience is essential
Relevant QS degree is essential
Proven experience working on large projects (£40m+)
Demonsarable experience managing staff and leading teams
NEC4 PM Accreditation is highly desirable
RICS or CIArb chartership is preferred but not mandatory
Civils/highways experience is highly desired
energy sector experience is beneficial but not essential
Previous experience working with design partners or designers is advantageous but not a requirement
