Job Description

We are looking for a Commercial Manager who will manage International markets across Europe on both PROPER and Eat Real, some of our most strategic partners, where we see big opportunities for growth over the next three years.

Job Responsibility

  • Build and nurture strong relationships both internally (especially with our product, project, marketing, and supply chain teams) and externally with distributors and customers
  • Understand the key principals of growing a brand in a new market from the RRP and promotional plans, retail launch partners, supply chain requirements and leveraging the brand toolkits
  • Be the voice of the brand - able to excite and inspire distributor teams to believe in the Practice Proper Snacking Mission
  • Develop tailored customer plans, identifying opportunities to open new markets and scale our next frontiers
  • Leverage a needs-based approach to launch at the right price, with the right range and the right plans
  • Create and manage joint annual plans with distributors, ensuring alignment with business objectives

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a Commercial role within FMCG or similar
  • A strong understanding of the retail supply chain, understands a distributor dynamic and a value chain
  • Exporting experience is beneficial
  • Experience with major customers, beneficial to know European markets, in particular, Nordics, France or Germany
  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work from our London office a minimum of 3 days a week, with 1 trip a month visiting customers in market

Nice to have

  • Exporting experience is beneficial
  • Experience with major customers, beneficial to know European markets, in particular, Nordics, France or Germany

  • Set up and pull the right levers to win in every operating country (Canada, Germany, Japan)
  • Help set up strategy and own the commercial performance of live markets
  • Run experiments across the funnel, place data-driven bets, and partner with local teams to execute them
  • Work closely with GMs to set up joint OKRs to execute the strategy and win each market
  • Strategise with most important commercial relationships globally covering big-pharma partners (e.g. Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly) alongside strategic partnerships and corporate development (M&A, supply and distribution)
  • Help set strategies (medication launches), structure and negotiate commercial deals (rebates, co-funding and demand-generation), build the models that underpin them
  • Execute high-value, ad-hoc projects that drive the International business
  • Scope the problem, build the analysis, drive to a clear recommendation, and often own the execution that follows
