You are joining an organisation on the up and will form part of the finance team in its infancy where your commercial input will shape the future finance infrastructure. Working alongside the Finance Director and supporting the CEO on the growth journey. Combined turnover for all entities is c.£12million with a forecast in place to exceed £20million by year end 2026 so exceptional growth in play. Job Responsibility

  • Full control of the management accounts pack for 3 entities
  • Run through budget, forecast, month end close, board presentation
  • Provide commercial input and commentary on performance
  • Challenge data and interrogate the accounts with an eye of growth

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant
  • Experience in a commercial management accounting role
  • Control of the month end cycle
  • Experience supporting a successful year end close

  • Produce the monthly management accounts pack – P&L, balance sheet, and KPI commentary – at site, brand, and consolidated level, with clear variance analysis against budget and prior year
  • Business partner with Heads of Department, General Managers, and Operations leaders, translating numbers into commercial insight that drives decision-making
  • Lead annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting cycles, building robust, bottom-up plans aligned to commercial strategy
  • Monitor and challenge key hospitality KPIs – GP margins, labour cost percentage, controllable costs, EBITDA, and site profitability – flagging risks and opportunities early
  • Partner with Operations on labour and rota efficiency, using Fourth data to interrogate productivity, scheduling, and wage cost performance
  • Safeguard financial controls and balance sheet integrity, ensuring reconciliations are completed on time and anomalies resolved
  • Prepare cashflow forecasts and working capital analysis to support liquidity planning
