Job Description:

Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial Maintenance Technician to support multiple commercial facilities within an assigned geographic territory in Lakewood, CO. This role is responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely general maintenance services to ensure buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained at a high standard. Technicians are provided a company vehicle, tools, and mobile technology and will travel between customer sites to perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance. The ideal candidate possesses strong multi-trade skills, demonstrates professionalism in customer-facing environments, and is committed to quality workmanship and safety.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complete preventative maintenance and corrective repairs per work order requirements in compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including repairing and unclogging toilets and urinals, replacing and maintaining valves, faucets, and fixtures, repairing and maintaining sensors for automatic flush systems
  • Perform routine painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and general maintenance work to maintain facilities in like-new condition, including surface preparation and paint matching
  • Repair and perform routine maintenance on walls, floors, doors, and other building components for overall facility appearance and functionality
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance as permitted by state law, including repair or replacement of fixtures, switches, outlets, ballasts, sockets, and lamps
  • Conduct service inspections and asset inspections as required
  • Utilize company-issued technology (tablet, smartphone) to access and complete work orders with detailed service notes, create and submit service reports and quality inspection photos, submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchasing documentation
  • Obtain necessary materials and supplies to complete assigned tasks
  • Maintain professional, face-to-face communication with customers to foster strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain timely and consistent communication with internal support teams
  • Participate in required safety and compliance training and attend regular safety meetings
  • Provide estimates for larger repair projects or additional services as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, technical degree, certification, or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Two to five years of general commercial maintenance experience, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Prior experience in commercial services environments strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Applicable certifications or licenses relevant to the role
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety policies, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Ability to complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and accurately communicate work status
  • Proficiency using handheld devices and business systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Working knowledge of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Ability to comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company safety policies
  • Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA standards
  • Experience performing day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventative maintenance
  • Daily local travel between customer properties
