Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Commercial Loan Assistant to join our team in Midland, Texas. In this Contract to permanent role, you will provide vital support to commercial lenders by assisting with underwriting, processing, and managing commercial loans. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic financial institution while developing your skills in loan administration and customer service.

Job Responsibility

  • Support commercial lenders by gathering necessary data and assisting in underwriting loan applications
  • Ensure the accuracy of loan documents prior to closing and verify that loans are booked correctly
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date digital loan files by scanning and uploading documentation
  • Assist loan officers with portfolio management and maintaining comprehensive loan records
  • Provide guidance to customers throughout the loan process to ensure a positive experience
  • Collaborate with Credit Administration on loan processing and examinations
  • Monitor loan documentation for compliance and address any discrepancies proactively
  • Contribute to the efficient execution of loan bookings and related administrative tasks
  • Assist in preparing reports and summaries as required by lenders or management
  • Act as a resource for resolving issues related to loan documentation or processing

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in loan administration, loan origination, or commercial lending
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan processes and documentation
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and systems for document management
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members
