Our client is a global law firm highly ranked for their expertise relating to the Aerospace sector. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced commercial litigator to join their aerospace team for a contract of 12 months to work on a high value and widely reported-on dispute. The team operates on a hybrid working policy, requiring 3 days per week in their London office. The contract is to start ASAP. The successful individual will have a superb level of autonomy and exposure to defending clients from some of the largest ever claims brought within the English Commercial Court.
Job Responsibility:
Defending clients from some of the largest ever claims brought within the English Commercial Court
Working closely with three partners
Taking on a high degree of responsibility for the cases, including identifying and acting upon procedural deadlines, drafting of correspondence and pleadings, giving instructions to counsel, addressing disclosure obligations, expert and factual evidence and costs and attending case management conferences and trials
Requirements:
Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales (although those who are dual qualified, will also be considered)
Upwards of 10 years’ PQE in handling highly complex, high value, commercial litigation
Experience gained from a strong commercial disputes or transportation practice
The ability to work with a high degree of responsibility
A strong eye for detail
Personable and able to foster strong relationships with clients and internal colleagues
The ability to commit to a 12 month contract
The capacity to start a new contract immediately or at short notice
