Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their successful team based in Leeds City Centre. As part of a high-performing team, you would be instrumental in managing and delivering high-value, complex commercial disputes for a diverse range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, major corporates, and law firms. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, including matters before the High Court, arbitration, mediation, and judicial reviews, many with international implications. You will be expected to handle cases that attract media interest and involve intricate legal issues, supporting the team’s reputation for excellence and strategic legal advice.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and advise on high-value, complex commercial disputes across various courts and tribunals
Handle cases before the High Court and Court of Appeal, including arbitration, mediation, and judicial reviews
Work with clients on multi-jurisdictional disputes, often involving international elements
Develop legal strategies that align with clients' wider commercial objectives
Assist with class actions, often involving innovative funding models such as CFAs and ATE insurance
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and referrers, providing strategic advice and support

Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor with experience in commercial litigation, ideally within a reputable practice
Proven track record in handling complex, high-value disputes, including multi-jurisdictional cases
Strong knowledge of the procedures before the High Court and Court of Appeal
Excellent legal analysis and strategic thinking skills
Ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team

Nice to have:

Experience with alternative funding models such as CFAs and ATE insurance is desirable
