We are looking for a skilled Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will support attorneys in managing complex litigation matters and ensure seamless coordination of case activities. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and a strong understanding of legal procedures to handle multiple deadlines effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Assist attorneys with drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court standards
Conduct thorough legal research and cite checking to support case development and strategy
Manage electronic filing processes and create well-structured document templates for various litigation needs
Coordinate and maintain complex calendaring systems, tracking key deadlines across multiple active cases
Provide administrative and litigation support to a team of attorneys, ensuring smooth workflow and communication
Oversee document management, including formatting, filing, and preparation of exhibits for court proceedings
Communicate professionally with both internal teams and external parties regarding case logistics and requirements
Maintain high attention to detail in all aspects of court filings and document preparation
Track and organize case materials using case management software to ensure accessibility and accuracy
Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Westlaw, and case management software
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage deadlines and competing priorities
Familiarity with commercial litigation processes, including eFiling and document formatting
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in handling legal documents and court filings
Knowledge of trial preparation and discovery procedures
Experience with calendaring and tracking critical case deadlines
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain a high level of professionalism
