We are looking for a skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our legal team in Buffalo, New York. This role requires someone who is detail oriented, with a strong background in handling complex business disputes and a proven ability to deliver exceptional legal solutions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, analytical, and writing skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to generate business and foster client relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Represent clients in commercial litigation matters such as partnership disputes, breach of contract claims, and fiduciary duty violations
Manage cases involving business dissolutions, employment disputes, and restrictive covenant issues
Handle regulatory and licensure matters, ensuring compliance and providing expert legal guidance
Advise clients on liability matters, including directors and officers liability, and errors and omissions cases
Lead legal proceedings related to construction contract disputes and defects
Draft compelling motions, briefs, and other legal documents to support case strategy
Conduct thorough discovery processes, including depositions and evidence collection
Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective litigation strategies tailored to unique case needs
Provide mentorship and guidance to entry level attorneys, fostering growth within the firm
Actively participate in business development efforts to expand the firm’s client base and reputation
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience handling commercial litigation cases
Licensed attorney with strong expertise in civil litigation
Proficient in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documentation
Demonstrated ability to conduct discovery processes and manage complex legal proceedings
Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills
Proven ability to generate business and build long-term client relationships
Familiarity with liability, construction disputes, and regulatory matters
