Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our legal team in Buffalo, New York. This role is ideal for an experienced individual with substantial expertise in handling complex business disputes and providing strategic counsel to clients. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical, communication, and writing skills to deliver high-quality legal services while contributing to the firm's growth.

Job Responsibility:

Represent clients in litigation involving partnership and shareholder disputes, breach of contract claims, and fiduciary duty matters
Handle cases related to business dissolutions, employment disputes, and issues surrounding restrictive covenants
Provide counsel and advocacy on regulatory and licensure matters, ensuring compliance and resolution of legal issues
Manage litigation involving liability, directors and officers liability, and errors and omissions
Address construction-related disputes, including contract disagreements and defect claims
Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity
Conduct thorough discovery processes to gather evidence and develop case strategies
Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients during mediation or court proceedings
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative legal strategies and solutions for complex cases
Contribute to business development efforts by cultivating client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth

Requirements:

Must hold a valid license to practice law
A minimum of 7 years of experience in civil litigation, particularly in commercial disputes
Demonstrated expertise in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documentation
Strong knowledge of discovery processes and evidence gathering techniques
Proven ability to manage cases involving regulatory compliance and liability requiring attention to detail
Exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills
Ability to generate business and maintain strong client relationships
Commitment to ongoing development and contributing to a collaborative work environment
