We are looking for an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic legal team in New York, New York. This role involves working on high-stakes, complex disputes across diverse industries and jurisdictions. You will play a key role in managing cases from pre-trial through resolution, representing clients in intricate commercial litigation matters.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to develop effective litigation strategies
Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and other legal proceedings
Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, petitions, and affidavits
Oversee discovery processes, including document production and preparation of subpoenas
Prepare and execute deposition and cross-examination outlines
Advise clients on complex commercial disputes, providing strategic guidance and counsel
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation or settlement conferences to resolve disputes
Collaborate with associates, paralegals, and support staff to ensure smooth case management
Handle a diverse range of cases, including contract disputes, regulatory matters, and tort litigation
Maintain clear and thorough communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
NY Admission and 4-7 years of experience in commercial litigation
Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to produce concise and persuasive work
Excellent oral advocacy skills and the ability to present complex legal arguments effectively
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines under pressure
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to address intricate legal issues
Licensed to practice law in the State of New York and in good standing
Proficiency with case management software and related legal tools
Experience in civil litigation, contract negotiations, and briefing processes
