The Select Account Executive will retain and grow business by servicing and managing client and prospective client relationships by collaborating with team members to deliver exceptional customer service, achieve client satisfaction, and drive new business opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the combined functions of the development and successful acquisition on new business revenue from new and existing clients and providing a high level of client service to assigned accounts
  • Remain current on company insurance products and offerings, as well as developments in the marketplace, including product line offerings, changing insurance consumer trends and needs
  • Manage the client and prospect relationships to help grow the book of existing accounts, providing and recommending the most appropriate insurance solutions
  • Complete applications and supply appropriate underwriting information, as well as negotiate with underwrites relative to proper coverages and placement
  • Prepare new business strategies in collaboration with the producer, including proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with customer’s request/requirements
  • Market new and renewal business, and develop opportunities to sell additional coverage from existing clients when appropriate
  • Bind and/or place coverage with acceptable carriers, adhering to appropriate carrier binding authority
  • Process change requests and other coverage research issues
  • Provide day-to-day service to clients to ensure their needs are appropriately met
  • Execute the renewal strategy in accordance with client instructions and manage the renewal marketing process
  • Coordinate and execute pre-renewal and renewal meetings with clients
  • Take on the relationship piece for transferred accounts to assist in retention and growth
  • Maintain strong underwriter and carrier relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Valid Insurance license
  • Professional Designation specific to area of specialty preferred (ie, ARM, CIC, RPLU)
  • College Degree in a business-related field
  • 7+ years’ experience in the insurance industry, or a related field
  • Proficient knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher
  • Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
  • Proficient knowledge of the use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machines, etc.)
