Job Description:

Acts as a legal advisor to assigned internal clients; Identifies legal risk and recommends solutions; Represents company in transactions, interactions, or disputes; Delivers expertise in specialized areas of legal practice; Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Supporting HPE culture and innovation within legal and business functions.

Job Responsibility:

Manages legal solutions for clients at the sub-region, region, and/or business unit level
supports complex transactions at local or regional level
provides specialized legal solutions in one or more areas of specialty law
Develops new ideas and methods to effectively address recurring legal issues or matters facing multiple client organizations
Identifies and resolves complex legal issues requiring in-depth consideration of multiple factors
Manages complex legal responsibilities for multiple client organizations
Contributes to complex multidimensional projects or transactions

Requirements:

Advanced university degree in law
Meets local legal license requirements
Typically 6-10 years commercial legal experience at a law firm or in-house
Advanced level of experience in one or more general or specialty law practice areas
Advanced breadth and depth of practical legal and relevant business knowledge
Recognized subject matter expert in one or more practice areas
Strong knowledge of company policies and procedures
Awareness of the international legal environment
Advanced skills and experience in negotiating or advising on complex or high value/risk matters
Proactive and effective communicator of valuable information to clients and colleagues
English language skills to business standard strongly preferred
