Job Description

The mission of this role is to own the full lifecycle of commercial agreements at Morpho, from term sheet to signature, ensuring our partnerships with tier-1 institutions are legally sound, protect our interests, and keep pace with the rapid growth of our GTM engine.

Job Responsibility

  • Negotiate commercial agreements with partners including large tier 1 institutions to secure terms that align with Morpho's business goals and mitigate key risks
  • Draft, review, and finalize contracts from term sheet through signature to enable seamless deal closure and partnership execution
  • Coordinate across Growth, Integration, Marketing, and Finance teams to understand business priorities and ensure legal strategy supports go-to-market needs
  • Serve as legal point of contact during sales discussions with external parties to facilitate deal flow and answer partners' legal and compliance questions
  • Proactively brief internal teams on contractual obligations and risks to prevent downstream compliance issues and align execution
  • Build templates, tools, and standardized processes for legal operations to scale contract velocity without adding headcount linearly
  • Support partners' legal teams with protocol explainers and compliance materials to remove friction and accelerate deal timelines

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in contract negotiation or commercial law, either as external counsel or in-house lawyer
  • 1+ year working in crypto with hands-on experience in the space, not just buzzwords
  • Based in the US or significant experience working closely with US legal frameworks and counterparties
  • Experience negotiating with large, mature legal teams at tier-1 institutions or enterprises
  • Native level English proficiency
  • Demonstrated experience automating or scaling legal operations using AI, templates, or other tools
  • Genuine enjoyment of the negotiation process, you love the thrill of landing a deal and finding creative solutions under pressure
