Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Leasing & Property Accounting Manager to oversee the operations at a reputable real estate development and property management firm. This on-site role near Livingston, New Jersey offers an excellent opportunity for growth, with the potential to advance into a department leadership position.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and provide guidance to lease administrators and bookkeeping staff, ensuring smooth operations
supervise lease administration processes, including billing, reconciliations, and tenant account management
collaborate with legal teams to address collections issues and ensure compliance with lease agreements
review and verify financial entries to maintain accuracy across tenant communications and records
oversee monthly close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
coordinate with auditors during financial statement reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy
monitor and manage CAM reconciliations, ensuring proper allocation of costs to tenants
utilize Yardi software to streamline accounting processes and reporting
identify and implement improvements to enhance organizational efficiency and financial accuracy

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in accounting and bookkeeping, including team management
proficiency in Excel, with a strong ability to analyze and manipulate data
familiarity with Yardi software or similar property management systems
solid understanding of lease administration and CAM reconciliation processes
exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with various departments
ability to manage month-end close processes, including general ledger tasks and journal entries
knowledge of financial statement audits and regulatory compliance
