We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Lead to join our team supporting our long-term detailed and bulk earthworks, electrical services, infrastructure and construction scopes in Rockingham, WA. As the Commercial Lead, you will be reporting to the Commercial Manager, and you will be responsible for responsible for leading all commercial and contractual functions, ensuring projects are delivered profitably, compliantly, and in line with client and business objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including service agreements, procurement contracts, and partnership agreements
Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards
Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing discrepancies and resolving issues as required
Oversee contract renewals, extensions, and terminations in line with business needs
Identify risks within contract terms and develop effective mitigation strategies
Provide commercial and contractual guidance to internal teams, including procurement and project managers
Lead and manage the commercial and procurement teams, allocating workloads and supporting professional development
Develop and manage budgets for projects and departments, ensuring alignment with company objectives
Monitor and report on financial performance and key commercial metrics
Requirements:
5-7 years’ experience in a Commercial leadership role
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, finance, or a related field (desirable)
Extensive experience in contract preparation, negotiation, and management
Strong understanding of legal terminology and contract law
Ability to obtain and maintain Defence security clearance (essential)
Australian Defence Force (ADF) experience is desirable
