Job Description:

Allied Universal Technology Services® is seeking a Senior Service Technician to lead the delivery of advanced service and support for integrated security systems. In this key role, you will leverage your expertise to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and complex repairs on enterprise-level access control and IP-based video surveillance systems, including electrified locking hardware, card readers, IP/analog cameras, intercoms, video recorders, and both wired and wireless networks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Travel to commercial client sites to service, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP-based video security systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced installation issues efficiently and effectively to ensure company compliance with standards and building codes, as well as company safety policies and procedures
  • Execute, document and track service-related issues through ServiceNow in accordance with Federal, state, and local regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of interpreting electrical schematics, CAD drawings and related documents for use in low-voltage applications
  • Provide high level of phone and on-line remote diagnostic support with a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients
  • Lead, collaborate and perform tasks with other internal teams and clients as required

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Available for scheduled “on-call” duties to respond to emergency service calls
  • Minimum of five (5) years of field experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of troubleshooting systems
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience servicing access control, video, intrusion detection systems
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record
  • Highly proactive and skilled individual
  • Meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems and overall IT network topology
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on ladder heights of up to 16’
  • Be able to work independently or as a member of a team
  • Possession of state-specific licensing (i.e. Class D or Alarm Installer, etc.) or ability to hold license once hired

Nice to have:

  • Manufacture certifications in any of the following: Lenel, S2, Genetec, Software House/CCURE, Avigilon, Milestone, Exaqvision, Axis, DMP, Bosch
  • Experience with any or all of the following is preferred: Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh or ONSSI

  • Ensure all equipment (including diving life support systems) and vessels are maintained through proactive, preventative maintenance programs
  • Utilize SGS’s maintenance management system (MTC Pro) to schedule and track all maintenance, inspections, and compliance tasks for regional assets – including facility, vehicles, trailers, vessels, life support equipment, generators, underwater video systems, etc. – and maintain accurate logs and photographic records to verify task completion, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance. All work and documentation is tracked through MTC Pro planned maintenance system
  • Reconcile maintenance expenditures and CAPEX accounts on a monthly basis in coordination with the General Manager and Regional Accounting, maintaining budgetary control
  • Take a hands-on approach to leadership by actively participating in maintenance and repair tasks as needed. Lead by example in the shop and field, providing coaching and training to team members to ensure work is performed safely, correctly, and efficiently
  • Assign and/or perform routine maintenance on marine diesel engines (e.g. oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments)
  • Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines, propulsion systems, control systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct sea trials to verify repairs and ensure vessels are fully operational and seaworthy
  • Retrofit or upgrade engines and equipment per manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostic results for each service or repair in MTC Pro
  • Train and guide team members or vessel operators in proper engine maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques
