Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Commercial Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install and service systems across the greater DMV area.

Job Responsibility:

  • Install, program, test, and service commercial fire alarm systems in compliance with applicable codes
  • Install and troubleshoot intrusion/security systems, including Honeywell and DMP panels
  • Install and maintain IP and analog CCTV systems, including cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and networks
  • Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on fire alarm, intrusion, access control, and CCTV systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for effective device layout and installation

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage system installation and service
  • Proficiency in programming and servicing Honeywell and DMP security platforms
  • Solid understanding of fire alarm code requirements and industry standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot IP/network issues and basic knowledge of networking concepts
  • Strong communication skills to effectively relay technical information to customers and project managers
  • NICET certification is a plus, or must be willing to obtain one
