Job Description:

This role is responsible for financial planning and analysis; P&L management and forecasting; general accounting, internal control and audit support. In addition, this role is responsible for the management of the Financial and Commercial Analysts teams and support the Commercial team for all pricing and commercial deals including tender submissions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review and co-ordination of the monthly accounts, OPEX and P&L consolidation and management
  • Prepare monthly sales and profit and loss performance against budgets and provide commentary
  • Establish, develop and implement appropriate procedures to ensure that the planning process provides an efficient and effective tool for affiliate's management
  • Develop and co-ordinate the planning timeline, calendar, and process working closely with Finance team and local entity level partners
  • Collaborate with other functions on monthly sales and volume forecast
  • Prepare and submit weekly forecasting with high accuracy for APJ review
  • Prepare insights, analysis, and content to support AV business reviews and LBE - provide financial modelling and scenario analysis for strategies and initiatives as identified by leadership team ensuring alignment of local goals and initiatives by division
  • Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of all templates/files and submission of LBE's
  • Ensure the development and assistance to the commercial business to prepare annual territory plans
  • Develop and provide analysis to explain the full year variances and perform trend/pattern analysis as needed
  • Provide financial expertise in evaluating and identifying the key issues and gaps in business performance and emerging business needs, deliver analyses that provides a foundation for management understanding and action (e.g., impact of new product launches, product end of life, and account level profitability)
  • Improve the financial insight and support to non-financial management staff
  • Co-ordinate and review document submissions for internal and external audits
  • Provide oversight and controls for the monthly accounting close process, including revenue recognition and appropriate expense accruals
  • Review monthly departmental expense tracking for actuals vs Plan/LBE
  • Lead and drive finance, commercial and operational improvement projects
  • Drive and expand the use of business intelligence tools across ANZ
  • Ensure accurate maintenance and compliance of all pricing and rebates including setup, calculations, reconciliations, performance monitoring and reporting to management accordingly
  • Ensure the accurate analysis, preparation and submission of new tenders and customer agreements - including monitoring contract/tender compliance
  • Support and partner with the Commercial team to drive corporate agreements with key hospital stakeholders that add value to the business and protect long term interests of the business
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data and appropriate approvals are maintained for all quotes, commercial deals and pricing contracts
  • Preparation and submission of all Request for Capital Expenditure and ensure accurate asset management is maintained
  • Lead, develop and manage an effective, engaged and motivated team
  • Maintain a supportive, collaborative working environment in line with Abbott core values
  • Address any conflict or potential issues sensitively and as they arise and in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and oversee employee training and development and equipping with the resources available at Abbott to support their career

Requirements:

  • BS or BA in Accounting, Finance
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Seasoned professional with more than 8 years of financial analysis experience
  • Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems
  • Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting
  • Commercial deals and tender submission experience
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, and Salesforce.com
