Job Description

This Finance Manager ensures the delivery of the financial performance of the Ireland Retail Business, meeting targets and understanding strategies. As a finance manager for ROI your role will be wide ranging and will combine retail commercial leadership, business partnering and finance analyst leadership. The finance manager will provide the business action-led insight. Additionally, they will help support, challenging, and delivering the retail financial and commercial goals for both stores and our online business. Other responsibilities include performance reporting, strategic planning, and oversight of supply chain cost management.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner the Commercial Director and trading team, building relationships with the teams and other team members
  • Financial management on understanding the trends and drivers improving performance for the retail business, producing high quality and applicable insight to bring retail strategy
  • Hold functions to account to meet their in-year financial commitments, budget and 3YP
  • Work with our FP&A team, leading a rigorous financial planning processes (in year performance, budget, 3YP)
  • Support and financial approval of business/investment/programme decisions across function working with central investment team to produce the appropriate business cases
  • Responsibility for influencing the business to ensure governance/adherence to our control environment including SOX

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or qualified via experience
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building, to inspire, effect change and guide successful processes and performance
  • Strong analytical skills combined with commercial experience to create insight from multiple data sources
  • Ability to think strategically, review, and understand the bigger picture whilst having good attention to detail
  • Be curious with the ability to identify issues and guide next steps through to a conclusion

  • Line management experience and people leadership skills
