Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking an associate to join our industry-leading finance practice. We represent a wide variety of institutional clients nationwide, including commercial banks, commercial finance companies, direct purchasers and private equity firms, investors and developers, and major non-profits. Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience
  • Strong transactional background with experience working on a variety of complex finance transactions including syndicated and portfolio transactions
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC and bankruptcy code in all phases of commercial finance transactions
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Active bar license in the location for which you wish to be considered

Nice to have

  • Experience with workouts/restructuring
  • Experience with M&A and private equity transactions
