Job Description:

Commercial Estimator role in packaging industry requiring creation, authorization and sending of quotations to sales teams and clients. Collaboration with internal departments to ensure quotations are accurate, cost effective, profitable and completed promptly. Primary internal contact for enquiries and making commercial decisions relating to quotations and pricing.

Job Responsibility:

Generate quotations, ensuring they are accurate, cost effective, profitable and completed promptly
Make commercial pricing decisions for quotations and customer pricing queries
Liaise with external suppliers to outsource and request prices of materials and products
Select the most cost effective suppliers and materials to offer a competitive advantage
Receive customer orders and work closely with customer service to ensure orders are processed promptly and remain compliant with quality standards and accreditations
Produce in depth analysis of production processes and lead times
Analyse changes in cost and production efficiencies and adapt pricing accordingly
Work with the sales teams to follow up on quotations and maximise conversion rate
Identify market and competitor pricing trends and adapt pricing where required
Work closely with internal teams to prioritise enquiries and project work
Provide commercial support and reports to internal departments where required

Requirements:

Previous commercial and estimating experience in a similar packaging-based role preferred
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a fast moving, professional and structured environment
Awareness of packaging industry and current market trends
Proficient use of Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
Ability to manage own workload, prioritise and work to deadlines

Nice to have:

Experience of Abaca / Packaging 3000
Previous commercial and estimating experience in a similar packaging-based role
