Job Description

Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrician to support a large industrial manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems, automation equipment, and facility infrastructure while ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and electrical codes.

Job Responsibility

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and equipment wiring
  • Troubleshoot electrical, automation, and control system issues to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose and repair motors, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, and related components
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment up to 480V
  • Install conduit, wiring, and electrical components in accordance with NEC standards
  • Maintain facility lighting systems including interior, exterior, and emergency lighting
  • Replace and repair electrical components such as relays, breakers, and control devices
  • Maintain accurate documentation and service records
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment, including tools and equipment maintenance

Requirements

  • Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship program
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and automation
  • Experience working with 120V–480V electrical systems
  • Valid driver's license and applicable certifications
  • Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints as well as architectural, mechanical, and other trade-specific drawings to ensure seamless coordination across disciplines
  • Installing and connecting electrical wiring, conduit, fittings, switches, outlets, and various electrical components
  • Testing electrical systems and circuits to ensure proper functioning, compliance with safety standards, and identifying any issues
  • Troubleshooting electrical problems and executing necessary repairs or replacements to restore functionality
  • Adhering to established safety guidelines, including implementing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, to ensure a secure and hazard-free work environment
  • Maintaining a clean, organized work area
  • Working variable shifts to meet the specific scheduling needs of our clients (proper rest and notice will be given before any shift change)
  • Traveling to various locations within Central Florida and across the state as required
