The Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta is seeking a Commercial Director who embodies our passion for excellence and is dedicated to creating the highest level of guest experience. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned, strategic and inspiring commercial leader to guide and elevate all top line functions, including Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Reservations, Catering and Public Relations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Commercial Director serves as a key member of the Hotel Planning Committee and plays an active role in both strategic and operational decision making. The position leads all commercial disciplines with a strong focus on maximizing revenue, enhancing profitability and strengthening market share, while consistently delivering the exceptional service and brand standards that define Four Seasons.
Job Responsibility:
Partner closely with the General Manager, Planning Committee, Third Party partners to align hotel business plan with revenue-generating strategies
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial team including Sales, Catering, Revenue Management, Reservations, Marketing, and Public Relations
Foster a dynamic, collaborative, and high-performance culture
Represent the hotel in commercial forums, travel as required, and maintain strong relationships within the Four Seasons network and the broader luxury hospitality sector
Build trust with internal and external stakeholders including Ownership and Corporate leadership
Ensure alignment across sales channels and consistent performance across key KPIs
Provide strategic guidance in terms of Revenue & Distribution
Develop and implement robust pricing and revenue strategies to maximize RevPAR and overall profitability
Drive revenue accountability across all departments
Lead the development and execution of sales strategies to optimize group, transient, and corporate segments
Oversee key account management and provide support for strategic partnerships
Ensure effective deployment of resources across both properties to maximize market opportunities
Decide sales travel budgets, review team performance, and set ambitious but achievable goals
Analyse and anticipate market trends to ensure the hotel maintains a leading competitive position through innovative messaging, strong market presence, and elevated customer engagement
Develop, lead, and execute an integrated Annual Marketing Plan that supports Four Seasons’ brand positioning and the property’s commercial and revenue objectives
Oversee all marketing activities across both digital and traditional channels, ensuring alignment and synergy between online and offline initiatives to maximize brand visibility
Apply data-driven insights, leveraging analytics and market intelligence to optimize campaign performance and improve return on investment
Lead the hotel’s digital marketing strategy with a focus on performance marketing, SEO/SEM, paid media, and CRM optimization
Direct social media strategy, online content creation, and digital storytelling to strengthen the hotel’s presence across key platforms
Execute always-on digital campaigns that enhance guest acquisition, online engagement, and long-term brand loyalty
Monitor digital KPIs, trends, and emerging technologies to ensure the hotel remains at the forefront of digital innovation in luxury hospitality
Champion and maintain a consistent, authentic Four Seasons brand voice across all communication channels
Oversee the full Public Relations strategy in coordination with local agencies and corporate teams to elevate media exposure and strengthen brand storytelling
Lead the development of targeted PR and marketing campaigns, including partnerships and influencer collaborations, to drive awareness and preference in key feeder markets
Cultivate and manage strategic relationships that enhance brand equity and support integrated marketing efforts across luxury, lifestyle, corporate, and travel trade segments
Requirements:
A strategic commercial leader with a strong preference for experience in a Commercial Director role within luxury hospitality, ideally in Jakarta or comparable major Southeast Asian markets
Demonstrated success in driving Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management performance, with prior experience at Four Seasons or other top-tier luxury brands
Exceptional leadership and communication capabilities, with the influence and confidence to inspire high-performing teams and engage effectively with Jakarta’s dynamic business, social, and luxury consumer communities
Strong financial and budget management acumen, with the ability to forecast accurately, optimize spending, and drive profitable commercial strategies in a competitive Jakarta market
A creative and forward-thinking mindset, capable of identifying new opportunities specific to Jakarta’s evolving luxury, corporate, and social segments while innovating within a structured brand environment
A high level of professional integrity combined with a hands-on, collaborative approach that aligns well with both the Four Seasons culture and Jakarta’s relationship-driven business landscape
Fluency in English is required
Additional language skills—especially Bahasa Indonesia—are considered a valuable advantage
