We are seeking a Commercial Director to join our Executive Leadership Team and provide strategic direction across all revenue-generating functions of the hotel. Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the hotel’s commercial strategy, ensuring strong market positioning, sustainable revenue growth, and long-term profitability. As a key member of the Hotel Leadership team, you will contribute to major strategic and operational decisions that drive performance across Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Catering, Distribution, and Public Relations.
Job Responsibility:
Provide strategic direction across all revenue-generating functions of the hotel
Shape and execute the hotel’s commercial strategy, ensuring strong market positioning, sustainable revenue growth, and long-term profitability
Contribute to major strategic and operational decisions that drive performance across Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Catering, Distribution, and Public Relations
Lead a multidisciplinary commercial team responsible for optimizing all revenue streams, including rooms, food and beverage, events, and ancillary services
Oversee pricing strategy, demand forecasting, market segmentation, digital strategy, brand positioning, and channel optimization to maximize revenue performance and market share
Full accountability for commercial planning, budgeting, forecasting, market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and performance reporting
Work closely with ownership representatives and corporate leadership to align commercial strategy with asset goals, brand standards, and long-term business objectives
Drive innovation in revenue management practices, digital marketing initiatives, and sales effectiveness, balancing short-term tactical performance with long-term brand equity and profitability
Ensure a data-driven and results-oriented culture across the commercial function
Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing commercial team through strategic recruitment, coaching, structured performance management, and talent development initiatives
Combine strategic vision with operational discipline, ensuring commercial initiatives fully support the guest experience, brand integrity, and financial excellence of the hotel
Requirements:
Proven leadership experience in hotel commercial operations, with at least five years in a senior commercial or revenue leadership capacity
A degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline
Strong expertise across Sales, Revenue Management, Catering, Digital Marketing, Distribution, and Brand Strategy within a luxury or upper-upscale hospitality environment
Demonstrated success in driving RevPAR growth, market share improvement, and overall revenue performance in competitive markets
Advanced analytical capability, with deep understanding of forecasting, budgeting, pricing strategy, channel management, and performance metrics
Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience with capital planning, return on investment analysis, and owner reporting
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Strategic and results-oriented leader with strong decision-making ability, commercial agility, and resilience in dynamic market conditions
Professional integrity, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across ownership, corporate teams, and operational departments
