The Commercial Director is responsible for driving the hotel’s overall commercial performance by leading sales, marketing, revenue management, and related functions. The role ensures that strategic commercial initiatives maximize revenue across all business units—Rooms, F&B, Spa, and other outlets—while maintaining strong brand identity. The Commercial Director provides strategic leadership, develops revenue‑generating strategies, manages budgets, and oversees the execution of commercial plans to support the hotel’s long‑term growth and market positioning.
Job Responsibility:
Drive hotel’s overall commercial performance by leading sales, marketing, revenue management and related functions
Ensure strategic commercial initiatives maximize revenue across all business units—Rooms, F&B, Spa, and other outlets
Maintain strong brand identity
Provide strategic leadership
Develop revenue-generating strategies
Manage budgets
Oversee execution of commercial plans to support hotel’s long-term growth and market positioning
Build, lead, coach, train and develop a strong team
Provide direction on pricing, Revenue Management, MarCom, Rooms and Catering sales strategy and tactics
Develop dynamic and open communication process between all parties
Actively participate in regular General Manager and Planning Committee meetings
Engage in forecast meetings
Include GM, DOF, DOS, DOC/CS and Reservations Manager in weekly Revenue meetings
Understand different needs of market segments and implement strategies to maximize revenue generation
Revenue management logistics

Develop and implement Annual Marketing Plan and budget process
Analyze property’s capabilities and identify direct sales, advertising, and public relations programs
Develop marketing programs consistent with Four Seasons style and positioning
Identify sources of business and establish priority marketing
Review and monitor competitive hotels
Manage hotel presence and content across all communication channels
Understand difference between marketing initiatives and integrated marketing campaign
Manage SEO, PPC, direct marketing, partnership and other advertising budgets
Develop Public Relations Strategy and oversee updates and execution
Craft Social Media strategy and distribution outlets
Develop Sales and Marketing budget
Provide 'Two up' sales assistance for all key accounts
Ensure fluid communication with WSOs
Establish goals and monitor performance
Review performance of each sales person and approve quarterly and annual incentive results
Develop and maintain succession plan for management positions
Requirements:
Education: (4) year college/university degree (or equivalent)
Experience: Previous experience as a DOS or Sales Manager in a Hotel or Resort
