Copper.co is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Director to lead the Commercial department in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and being part of the Global Commercial team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the commercial activities in Switzerland and the European Union in collaboration with the Global Commercial team and the Commercial Head for Europe. Additionally, this role is part of the Copper Markets (Switzerland) and Copper Markets (Liechtenstein) Management Team and an approved role towards the Swiss regulator (FINMA) as well as the Liechtenstein regulator (FMA). A key part of this role involves the execution of sales and partner engagement initiatives across Switzerland and the European Union in collaboration with the Head Commerical Europe. Leading the Commercial and Execution team in Switzerland ensuring operational excellence and alignment with strategic goals. Support the Global Head of Partnerships with market analysis, competitive intelligence and partner analysis. Being part of the Swiss and Liechtenstein Management Team and providing hands-on support and contributing to cross-functional leadership efforts. Job Responsibility:
Execute sales and partner engagement initiatives across Switzerland and the European Union, driving business development and strategic growth
Lead the Commercial and Execution team in Switzerland, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with overall business objectives
Provide analytical support to the Global Head of Partnerships, including market research, competitive intelligence, and partner performance analysis
Collaborate closely with the Swiss and Liechtenstein Management Team, offering hands-on support and contributing to cross-functional leadership and strategic initiatives
Play an active role in shaping the future of digital asset trading through innovative thinking and strong execution
Requirements:
7-10 years of experience in a senior leadership role
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or professional equivalent
Experience in executing sales activities and partner management within institutional ecosystems (TradFi & Digital Assets)
A strong network in Switzerland and the European Union in TradFi & Digital Assets
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends, assess competitive landscapes, and generate actionable insights
Leadership skills with experience in managing small teams, driving performance and fostering collaboration
Fluent in German, English
Sense of accountability and a proactive work style
Ability to work well under pressure
Can-do attitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
French desirable, other languages are an asset
Demonstrable research skills regarding blockchain and financial markets, assessing and determining the impact to the business
Knowledge of financial markets, investment products and asset classes and a willingness to expand knowledge further
