The Commercial Director leads all commercial functions for the resort, including Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing, Public Relations, and key revenue-generating departments. As part of the leadership team, this role partners closely with the General Manager to develop and execute strategies that maximize revenue, profitability, and brand positioning across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, and other revenue streams. This position reports directly to the General Manager and collaborates with regional and global commercial teams.
Job Responsibility
Lead and develop high-performing teams across Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing, Public Relations, and Reservations
Define and execute commercial strategy to maximize total resort revenue and profitability across all segments
Oversee revenue management practices, including pricing, inventory, and distribution strategies to achieve optimal business mix
Partner with Revenue Management leadership to drive analytics, forecasting, and performance reviews
Develop and execute annual marketing and sales plans aligned with financial objectives and brand standards
Manage and monitor budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of commercial resources and strong return on investment
Drive demand generation through integrated marketing campaigns, digital strategy, partnerships, and public relations initiatives
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including ownership, corporate teams, and strategic partners
Oversee group, catering, and transient sales strategies to maximize revenue opportunities
Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer segments to adjust strategies proactively
Ensure alignment with Four Seasons standards and compliance with all commercial operating procedures
Foster a culture of performance, innovation, and collaboration across all commercial functions
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
3–5+ years of experience in a senior commercial, sales, or revenue leadership role within luxury hospitality
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving financial targets
Strong expertise in revenue management, sales strategy, and marketing principles
Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills with a strong business acumen
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Knowledge of distribution channels, digital marketing, and commercial systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams
Flexibility to travel as required
Authorization to work in the United States is required unless the candidate is currently in a managerial role with another Four Seasons location
