Growing AI company is seeking a Commercial Counsel with strong SaaS experience to support our sales team in negotiating and closing high-volume software-as-a-service transactions. This role will partner closely with sales, revenue, finance, security, and business stakeholders to provide practical legal guidance that helps drive revenue while managing risk. This position is 100% remote, so candidates from across the US are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will hold an active Bar license in any US jurisdiction and have at least 4-6+ years of experience supporting sales teams with SaaS agreement negotiation.
Job Responsibility:
Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of SaaS agreements, including MSAs, order forms, NDAs, DPAs, SLAs, and vendor paper
Partner directly with sales teams to help structure, negotiate, and close SaaS deals efficiently
Provide clear, business-focused legal advice on commercial terms, risk assessment, privacy, compliance, and contract strategy
Develop and improve contract templates, playbooks, fallback language, and negotiation processes to support scalable deal execution
Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including sales, finance, product, procurement, and security teams
Support issue escalation and help resolve legal and commercial roadblocks during the sales cycle
Advise on contracting best practices within a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
4+ years of high-volume SaaS commercial contracting experience in the technology industry
Proven experience supporting sales organizations and helping close SaaS deals in a fast-paced environment
