Commercial Counsel

• Lead contracting processes end-to-end, including administration and optimization of internal contracting platforms
• Draft, negotiate, and standardize a broad range of commercial agreements
• Draft, review, and update company policies, templates, and terms and conditions
• Support and help lead compliance initiatives, including HIPAA and data privacy compliance
• Support insurance and risk management initiatives
• Assist with public company reporting obligations
• Provide support on litigation, employment, and dispute-related matters
• Assist with corporate governance
• Support M&A and investment activities
• Partner on corporate communications, public policy, and government affairs matters
• Manage outside counsel relationships and related budgets

• Juris Doctor and active bar membership in good standing in New York required
• Must be based in or near New York City and able to work in-office five days per week
• 3-6 years of relevant legal experience required
• Prior in-house experience preferred
• Experience with commercial contracts, M&A, healthcare/medical services, data privacy, and/or public company matters required
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and independently, with strong judgment and attention to detail
• Self-starter with a high degree of resourcefulness and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
