Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to join our Legal Team in LATAM. In this role, you will support complex commercial transactions across LATAM, including SaaS, licensing, and strategic partnerships, while helping the company navigate diverse legal and regulatory frameworks in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence. You will work closely with global colleagues to provide practical, business-oriented advice that enables growth while managing risk across multiple jurisdictions.

Job Responsibility

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, with a primary focus on GTM/Sales transactions in LATAM, including enterprise customer contracts
  • Partner with sales, business development, and operations teams to design and implement strategies that support high-growth go-to-market initiatives
  • Monitor and interpret evolving region specific legal and regulatory developments, including data protection, technology, and AI-related frameworks, and apply this knowledge to contract drafting and risk assessment
  • Develop, maintain, and localize contract templates, playbooks, and policies to reflect regional requirements and industry best practices
  • Provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal advice to cross-functional teams, tailoring advice to enable responsible growth and innovation
  • Contribute to scaling the Legal Team’s commercial function, fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture

Requirements

  • Law degree and qualification to practice law in a relevant LATAM jurisdiction (preference for Brazil or Mexico)
  • 7+ years of relevant post-qualification legal experience (in-house experience in technology or SaaS strongly preferred)
  • Proven track record drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise software licensing, SaaS, data protection, and intellectual property
  • Experience advising on privacy, cybersecurity, and cross-border data transfer issues
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
