Job Description:

I’m working in partnership with a leading East London law firm that is looking to expand its successful property team with the addition of an experienced Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm with a strong client base, known for delivering high-quality work and fostering a friendly, supportive working culture.

Job Responsibility:

Acting for Landlords and Tenants: Drafting and negotiating leases, rent deposit deeds, licences to alter, and agreements for lease
Dealing with lease variations and associated documents
Advising small-to-medium-sized local businesses and large portfolio landlords
Acting for Developers: Site acquisitions for development, including reports on title
Site disposals, conditional purchase agreements, options, overage agreements, and land promotion agreements
Drafting and advising on joint venture agreements and easements
Preparation for the sale of completed developments, including flat/home disposals
Managing construction-related matters such as reliance letters and collateral warranties
Developer and Lender Financing: Reviewing facility agreements and finance documents (legal charge, debenture, duty of care deeds, subordination/priority deeds)
Preparing certificates of title (City of London form)
Drafting corporate authorisations (minutes, resolutions, and certificates)
Coordinating broker reliance letters

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years’ PQE in commercial property law
Strong technical expertise across the full range of commercial conveyancing matters
Excellent attention to detail and a logical, structured approach to your work
A proactive, confident attitude and the ability to manage matters with minimal supervision
A positive personality and a good sense of humour – team fit is just as important as technical ability
