Job Description

I’m working in partnership with a leading East London law firm that is looking to expand its successful property team with the addition of an experienced Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm with a strong client base, known for delivering high-quality work and fostering a friendly, supportive working culture.

Job Responsibility

  • Acting for Landlords and Tenants: Drafting and negotiating leases, rent deposit deeds, licences to alter, and agreements for lease
  • Dealing with lease variations and associated documents
  • Advising small-to-medium-sized local businesses and large portfolio landlords
  • Acting for Developers: Site acquisitions for development, including reports on title
  • Site disposals, conditional purchase agreements, options, overage agreements, and land promotion agreements
  • Drafting and advising on joint venture agreements and easements
  • Preparation for the sale of completed developments, including flat/home disposals
  • Managing construction-related matters such as reliance letters and collateral warranties
  • Developer and Lender Financing: Reviewing facility agreements and finance documents (legal charge, debenture, duty of care deeds, subordination/priority deeds)
  • Preparing certificates of title (City of London form)
  • Drafting corporate authorisations (minutes, resolutions, and certificates)
  • Coordinating broker reliance letters

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years’ PQE in commercial property law
  • Strong technical expertise across the full range of commercial conveyancing matters
  • Excellent attention to detail and a logical, structured approach to your work
  • A proactive, confident attitude and the ability to manage matters with minimal supervision
  • A positive personality and a good sense of humour – team fit is just as important as technical ability
