Job Description

Working in the global Commercial function and reporting to the Head of Commercial (based in the UK), you will use your commercial acumen, contracting, drafting and negotiation skills to help ensure our commercial agreements support the company’s growth while appropriately managing risk.

Job Responsibility

  • Pricing of all client and partner bids using pre-approved price books, working with global and regional Sales leads to apply account, market and business context to ensure we position ourselves in the strongest possible manner
  • Drafting, reviewing and helping to drive the negotiation of various commercial contracts and supporting documentation, including but not limited to commercial proposals (including responses to RFIs and RFPs), NDAs, MSAs (SaaS & on-premise), Order Forms, Statements of Work, Reseller Agreements, Referral Agreements and Supplier contracts
  • Working with Pre-Sales, Sales and Client Success teams to ensure the client lifecycle is underpinned with appropriate contractual documentation and commercial insight/intelligence
  • Oversight of spend with key, critical, global suppliers, negotiating favourable commercial terms
  • Leading the commercial workstream through client procurement processes, using commercial templates, playbooks and relevant prior deal experience
  • Supporting multiple deals running in parallel across regions and working flexibly across time zones where required
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across APAC, EMEA and NORAM, acting as a primary commercial point of contact during negotiations
  • Apply commercial creativity and judgement to internal bid modelling, pricing and negotiation planning to ensure sales processes and client negotiations are effective and ultimately successful
  • Working in close partnership with Sales and Client Success, you will help drive momentum through each procurement cycle in a quarterly-driven environment – balancing client requirements with Aptitude’s commercial and risk position
  • Continue your own professional development, support internal communications, and contribute to the organisation’s understanding of commercial best practices as the business evolves

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in contract management, drafting and negotiations, preferably in the SaaS industry
  • Expertise in software solutions and professional services pricing, including both on-prem and SaaS scenarios
  • Experience in closing complex deals
