Job Description:

We are seeking an Estimator to join our growing team. This role focuses on project qualification, takeoff analysis, and scope sheet creation for commercial precast concrete perimeter projects. You will work with our senior sales representatives to increase bid volume and support our expansion into new markets across California.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor bid boards and project databases to identify qualifying commercial projects
  • Review project plans and specifications to determine scope alignment with our service offerings
  • Perform detailed takeoffs using Bluebeam and other estimation tools
  • Create comprehensive scope sheets documenting project specifications and requirements
  • Forward qualified projects to senior sales representatives for proposal development
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in Excel and BuilderTrend.com
  • Communicate via Slack with internal team members regarding project status

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience with blueprints, takeoffs, and construction estimation
  • Strong background in foundation work, landscape, or concrete construction
  • Proficiency with takeoff software (Bluebeam preferred)
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Basic understanding of rebar, reinforcement, and concrete specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, geotech reports, and engineering documents
  • Fluent English (written and verbal)
  • Construction industry background (manufacturing experience not required)
