Job Description:

We are currently working with a leading insurance provider who is looking to hire a commercial combined underwriter. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced underwriter, ideally with a background in commercial combined to join a growing team. As a key player in the business, you’ll have the chance to develop and manage a profitable portfolio while building and nurturing strong broker relationships.

Job Responsibility:

  • Underwrite a broad range of commercial combined risks, ensuring that all policies are accurately assessed, priced, and aligned with company guidelines
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, acting as a key point of contact for underwriting queries and assisting in their development
  • Identify new business opportunities and work proactively to grow existing accounts
  • Assist senior management in contributing to the strategic development of the commercial book of business
  • Review new business submissions, mid-term adjustments, and renewals
  • Regularly assess and manage portfolio performance, providing insight and reporting where required
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
