Job Description:

GEICO is seeking a forward-thinking and motivated Commercial Claims Unit Manager with long haul trucking experience to join our management team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop associates in our growing commercial claims organization. Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of commercial claims associates to deliver exceptional service
  • Leverage prior commercial leadership expertise to guide team members in resolving complex customer inquiries and claims
  • Personalize leadership approach to develop team members’ skills
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and retention
  • Hold team accountable for achieving results, maintaining compliance with insurance regulations, and delivering outstanding service
  • Address escalated customer concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Serve as a resource for team members on insurance-related questions, providing mentorship and training

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree with 2+ years of commercial auto or trucking (preferred) claims supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 4 years commercial auto or trucking (preferred) claims supervisory experience in lieu of a degree (high school diploma or equivalent required)
  • Must hold an active Insurance Adjusters License and ability to obtain/maintain additional licenses as needed
  • Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop high-performing teams in a customer-centric environment
  • Strong results orientation, with a history of meeting or exceeding performance goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt leadership styles to diverse individuals and situations
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decision-making and improve customer outcomes
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity and excellence
