As Commercial Manager, you’ll lead commercial support across key business areas, ensuring our teams have the insights and strategies they need to win profitable work and deliver sustainable growth. You’ll oversee tender and bid analysis, customer profitability modelling, pricing evaluation, digital commercial insights and marketing performance. Your work will directly shape business strategy, revenue generation and commercial accountability. This is a pivotal role that partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Digital, and our specialist Solutions teams. You’ll harness analytics, financial insight, and strong commercial judgement to influence decisions and deliver meaningful business outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Developing tender and deal P&L models that support strong commercial outcomes
Running profitability and risk scenario testing to guide bid decisions
Providing insights that help shape competitive, customer-focused tender strategies
Supporting accurate and timely tender submissions
Assisting the sales team with pricing insights, commercial analysis and customer presentations
Owning and improving the customer profitability model
Conducting EBIT and pricing analysis to highlight opportunities
Benchmarking customer portfolios to identify performance gaps
Supporting contract reviews and updates to pricebooks
Delivering commercial insights across multiple business units to influence decisions
Providing P&L analytics that enable data-led planning and forecasting
Reviewing marketing ROI across partnerships, sponsorships and campaigns
Promoting data-driven decision making across the organisation
Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence outcomes
Ensuring compliance with policies, WHS requirements and commercial governance
Requirements:
5+ years’ experience in commercial management, finance, strategy or business analytics
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or related discipline
Professional qualifications desirable (CPA, CIMA or similar)
Strong financial acumen with proven P&L ownership
A strong track record in tender/bid strategy and profitability modelling
Experience with customer profitability, pricing strategy and commercial analysis
Familiarity with digital analytics and marketing ROI methodologies
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work under pressure, juggle priorities and influence outcomes
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
Experience with CRM systems and digital analytics platforms
Strong understanding of commercial operations across multiple business units
