Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager for clients with annual revenue $100MM to $2B supporting the West market as part of the Commercial Bank. As a Portfolio Manager, you will perform responsibilities such as researching credit investigations, guiding medium risk deliverables, and collaborating with colleagues and customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Research complex credit investigations and diverse credit information for loans
  • identify opportunity for process improvements within scope of responsibilities or functional area
  • review and identify basic operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives while exercising independent judgement to guide medium risk deliverables
  • present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders including internal as well as external customers

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • experience with complex credit, underwriting, and debt structure for clients with annual revenue of $100MM to $2B
  • completion of a formal credit training program
  • proven ability to manage client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
  • experience as a commercial banking Portfolio Manager, with a focus on Middle Market C&I, Commercial Real Estate, and Investor Real Estate
  • strong expertise in loan origination, portfolio monitoring, financial modeling, credit underwriting, and risk analysis for complex commercial businesses
  • demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities
  • excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly
  • in-depth knowledge of industry standards, banking regulations, and compliance requirements
  • familiarity with the Bank's software and credit risk management tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
