Job Description:

UK Commercial Bank Relationship Manager (SVP) role supporting the international growth plans of UK headquartered Mid-Market businesses with annual turnover ranging from £50m to £3bn. This newly created role will be responsible for leading Citi's expansion across the 'North' region, with a strong focus on new client acquisition and supporting the banking and financing needs of clients across the regions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing key client stakeholder relationships (CEO, CFO, Treasury teams)
  • Bring the 'whole bank' to clients to ensure exceptional client service
  • Understand clients' banking & financing needs and pitch Citi's global offering
  • Lead Citi's expansion across the 'North' region with focus on new client acquisition
  • Develop and maintain strong ties with Commercial Banking teams across Citi's global network
  • Self-originate new business across the Mid-Market segment
  • Represent Citi Commercial Bank across multiple industries
  • Work closely with 'North' Director and wider UK CCB team
  • Collaborate with Banking Capital Markets and Advisory teams
  • Develop relationships with key business introducers
  • Work alongside UK CCB 'North' Director in delivering 5-year strategic growth plan
  • Coach and develop other members of the wider UK Commercial Banking team

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial/corporate banking experience
  • Solid credit skills
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Established external network in the North region
  • Proven record in originating & executing new business
  • UK commercial/corporate banking experience
  • Understanding of banking/financing needs of UK Mid-Market businesses
  • Strong sales & self-origination disciplines
  • Thorough understanding of key commercial banking processes & solutions
  • Strong personal brand and excellent communication skills
  • Strong financial analysis & credit writing skills
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products & processes
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking lending and credit processes
  • Must pass FCA and PRA Certification Regime assessment
