Job Description:

We are looking for a sharp, driven, and proactive Market Associate to join our expanding South Africa team. As a founding member of our South African operations, you’ll work closely with the South Africa Lead and Global Expansion Lead to help us unlock the market. You’ll have real ownership across sales, partnerships, and operations, helping us win South Africa by driving adoption, building relationships, and creating repeatable go-to-market systems. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll be engaging healthcare stakeholders both virtually and in person - visiting hospitals, clinic groups, and medical practices to understand workflows, build trust, and demonstrate Heidi’s impact. A background in healthcare or a clinical discipline (medicine, nursing, or allied health) is highly valued, as it helps you communicate authentically with clinicians and decision-makers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate as a true generalist across sales, partnerships, business development, operations, and marketing
  • Own the local sales process, tailoring it to fit Heidi’s PLG and enterprise motion
  • Meet clinicians and healthcare leaders face-to-face, visiting hospitals and clinic groups to build trust, run demos, and understand clinical workflows firsthand
  • Collaborate with marketing to refine our brand, messaging, and on-the-ground strategy for the South African market
  • Secure strategic partnerships with key players across the local healthcare ecosystem
  • Build and optimise internal processes to enable repeatable, scalable execution across sales and operations
  • Collect customer and market feedback to shape our South African playbook and inform broader commercial strategy

Requirements:

  • Impeccably sharp and analytical, able to break down complex problems with structure while thinking creatively
  • Acts like an owner - autonomous, accountable, and relentlessly outcome-oriented
  • Exceptional with customers - emotionally perceptive, articulate, and comfortable spending 50%+ of time in the field with clinicians and hospital leaders
  • Looking for uncapped growth - thrives where your ability to win defines your trajectory
  • Clinician background or familiarity with hospital and practice workflows preferred
  • Languages: English required
  • Afrikaans, isiXhosa, Zulu, or Sotho fluency is a strong plus given our diverse clinician base
  • Attitude is more important than experience - if you are hungry, competitive, and motivated, with a knack for problem solving and relationship-building

Nice to have:

Bonus - experience in healthcare, medicine, nursing, allied health, sales, operations, consulting, or as a founder is a strong plus, but not required

What we offer:
  • A generous personal development budget of $500 per annum
  • Learn from some of the best engineers and creatives, joining a diverse team
  • The rare chance to create a global impact as you immerse yourself in one of Australia’s leading healthtech startups
  • If you have an impact quickly, the opportunity to fast track your startup career
