Job Description:

We’re looking for a Commercial and Procurement Lead (internally known as Commercial Lead) to provide strategic commercial leadership for Tier 1 vendor relationships, those that are critical, high-value, and high-risk to yourtown. In this pivotal role, you’ll create organisational value by leading commercial negotiations, driving procurement strategies, and establishing preferred supplier arrangements. Based at our Milton head office, you’ll deliver measurable gains through cost savings, compliance oversight, and streamlined business practices that support our mission to help young people thrive.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor and manage Tier 1 supplier contracts to ensure compliance, performance, and alignment with organisational priorities
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide commercial advice, resolve contract issues, and support procurement planning
  • Lead negotiations for new contracts, amendments, and dispute resolution with strategic suppliers to secure value and cost efficiencies
  • Analyse organisational spend and identify opportunities for savings and process improvements
  • Oversee procurement processes and vendor onboarding, ensuring adherence to policies, safeguarding requirements, and compliance obligations
  • Drive strategic sourcing and tendering activities, including developing KPIs and performance measures for high-value agreements

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business Management)
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing procurement for a medium-sized organisation
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret budgets and financial reports
  • Demonstrated success in implementing procurement and tender strategies that deliver measurable value
  • Experience managing end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes

  • Coach & mentor team members to achieve and maintain KPI's
